Taking your place in the Word

Joshua 1:8 · 42 min

The Word is not a visit. It is an address. Live there.

This house is named for a sentence: taking your place in the Word. Not visiting it on Sunday. Not quoting it when the week is already decided. Taking a place — the way a person takes a seat they intend to keep.

Joshua is told that the book shall not depart from his mouth. That is more than private reading. It is a mouth trained by Scripture until the decisions of a life start to sound like the Book they came from.

New Creation Centre International exists so that the weak, the sick, the straying, and the lost have a people whose first language is the Word. If you have been standing in the aisle, this is the Sunday you sit down.

A quiet reflection

After you have read, you can ask for a short written companion — something to carry through the week. Sign in first; it is written once, for you, on request.
